The Spring U štol

The spring was originally used as a collection point for drinking water. The water sources are two adits, now collapsed, from which water is diverted into the upper pit where both inflows merge. From the upper pit, the water flows into the lower, concrete, about a meter deep pit, which served as a water reservoir. From the lower pit, the water was diverted by a now clogged pipe, and the excess water flowed out through a pipe, where it still flows today and where there is a pool accessible to wildlife. Both pits are roofed and protected against fallen leaves. The water is clean and has a constant flow.
