Labor Camp Svornost

Tábor Svornost, operating at the uranium mine of the same name in Jáchymov, was originally a prisoner-of-war camp and later a penal labor camp. The prisoners and inmates detained here mined uranium ore in the local uranium shaft. The camp became widely known particularly for its 270 steep wooden stairs, built between the shaft and the camp. Practically nothing remains of the original camp. Today, an educational trail called "Jáchymovské peklo" passes through the area of the former camp. In 2015, replicas of guard towers and fencing were built here. About 500 meters from the former camp, an underground adit called "Štola č. 1," which was excavated by the convicts, is accessible.

Labor Camp Svornost

The reconstruction of the communist labor camp Svornost is part of the educational trail Jáchymovské peklo. There is a replica of a guard tower and a preserved underground cell, known as the correction, was also discovered.
