Nechranická Reservoir lies 15 kilometers from Chomutov on the Ohře River between Kadaň and Žatec. The water surface in the open landscape exceeding 1300 ha is a paradise for sailing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding thanks to favorable winds in the spring and autumn months. In summer, it becomes a place for swimming and, of course, a great spot for fishing. Marked cycling routes lead to the reservoir from Chomutov, Kadaň, and Žatec. In the village of Vikletice, you can purchase a permit for fishing.
Nechranická přehrada is accessible from all directions, but the highest concentration of campsites, beaches, and recreational spots is located on the right bank of the reservoir around the village of Vikletice. Here you will also find the largest stone-sandy beaches and the best access to the water. It is possible to park near the shores, which will be particularly appreciated by water sports operators and fishermen.
