Gateway to Freedom and The Way of the Cross of Freedom

Monument to the Victims of Communism, the central double-sided sculpture by academic sculptor Roman Podrázský, is the first stop on the Way of the Cross to Freedom, commemorating "Jáchymovské peklo". The WAY OF THE CROSS TO FREEDOM is a collection of monuments commemorating the victims from the time of uranium ore mining, forming a modern Way of the Cross, located in the park in front of the Church of St. Joachim and St. Anne. The Way of the Cross to Freedom consists precisely of the Gate to Freedom monument and a series of stones symbolizing individual camps.
