The village was located approximately 4 kilometers northwest of Komáří hůrka and about 3 kilometers east of Zadní Cínovec (today Cínovec) near the border with Saxony. The first written mention dates back to 1378. The village was probably founded by miners from Krupka who mined tin ores here. The most significant landmark of the village was the Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary from 1887. Přední Cínovec disappeared with the departure of the German population after the Second World War.
The Přední Cínovec educational trail discusses the history of this vanished border village. It is the youngest trail in this area, ceremonially opened in 2009, which maps the lives of our ancestors in the eastern Krušné hory.
