The Red Castle Game Reserve is located north of the town Jirkov, in the immediate vicinity of the Red Castle mansion, after which it is named. Its area covers 281 hectares. The boundaries of the modern game reserve (since 1989) largely follow the boundaries of the original game reserve from the 19th century, which was established here by the noble family Buquoy. The game reserve is dedicated to the breeding of fallow deer and mouflon. It is open to the public from 9 AM to 6 PM, and in winter from 9 AM to 3 PM.
