Refreshments and parking at Cihelna are near the Abertamská turn. The takeaway window and parking are primarily operational during peak tourist times and seasons. Parking at Nikolaj is also available for a fee. Within reach are cross-country skiing trails within the Eduard area (groomed exclusively for skating, as well as connectors to Mariánská and Nové Město) and the Krušnohorská Ski Trail and other routes near Božídarský Špičák.

Just a few meters from the former penal labor camp (NPT) - Tábor Nikolaj served as a penal labor camp for housing forced laborers employed in uranium ore mining. Prisoners and detainees who were held here mined uranium ore in the local Nikolaj and Eduard mines. The camp became notorious for the illegalities committed against the prisoners. Nothing has been preserved from the original camp.
