Pivovar Červený Vlk was founded in the heart of the Ore Mountains in Boží Dar, as a shared vision of two friends and long-time collaborators. The microbrewery began operations in May 2020, but the idea, building concept, and location had been developing since 2016. The intention was to construct a building that would fit into the local architecture while being technologically advanced. The brewery also includes a restaurant offering both cold and hot cuisine, and there are outdoor terraces available for seating.
The brewmaster at the local brewery is Marek Mikunda, who, after graduating from industrial and higher brewing school, joined Plzeňský Prazdroj in 1993. In 1998, he left for his first foreign job in Saransk, Russia, and after nearly twenty more years working in various foreign breweries, mainly in Canada, he settled in the newly built Červený Vlk brewery.
