The Stará myslivna is located on the ridge of the Krušné hory at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level. In the vicinity, there is the ski center Bouřňák and several cross-country skiing trails, including the Krušnohorská magistrála. In the summer season, people ride bicycles, go on hikes, mushroom picking, and there is a pond 40 meters from the accommodation for swimming.
