Hotel Green House

Unfortunately, we do not know how the hotel was damaged during the great fire of the town in 1808, when most of the houses burned down. The stylish interiors also correspond to the age of the hotel. You won't find any luxury here, but if you visit us, you will be pleasantly surprised by the environment that the hotel and our staff offer you.

The total capacity of the hotel is 60 places in 23 rooms with the possibility of an extra bed. The rooms have separate toilets and showers, and the hotel has cable television distribution.

In 1542, the reformer Martin Luther stayed overnight in the Zelený dům during his journey from Wittenberg to Jáchymov. This event is commemorated by a memorial inscription. At the entrance hall, there is a mural depicting the welcoming of the Saxon elector Johann Friedrich in Boží Dar. Johann Friedrich is said to have contributed to the current naming of Boží Dar. The town received its founding charter - the privilege of a free mining town - on June 6th, 1546. When Johann Friedrich visited the town, the miners offered him a silver chair to rest on. The ruler refused to use it, saying: "This noble metal is your bread; it is a gift from God.
