Through the Chalupecký Valley

Today we invite you on a trip to Chaloupecké Valley, one of the most beautiful places in the Krušné Mountains. In every season, this valley, through which the Rolava River winds like a snake in its upper course, has its own unique charm. In summer, when the sun is high above the horizon, it reflects off the surface of the river and you can hear nature sighing around you. In autumn, when you need to pull your collar up to your neck, the icy wind chases around you, and everything around you is colored shades of yellow and red. In winter, when divine peace literally breathes on you and the whole landscape rests under a layer of snow. Even in spring, which is beautiful everywhere, but especially here.

In the center of this valley, which connects Přebuz and Nové Hamry, once lay the village of Neuhaus, known in Czech as Chaloupky. Today, unfortunately, there is no trace of it, only the foundations of a few houses, remnants of cellars, or an artificial step on the Rolava River remind you that people once lived here.

Today, as already mentioned, only the mighty and magical nature remains. The valley has become a popular spot for tourists in all seasons. A pedestrian path runs through its center, intersecting with the Krušné Mountains Highway, used by cyclists in summer and skiers in winter. It is a pristine piece of nature, and yet it is close to everywhere. Over the hill at Jelení, you'll find a pub, and on the other side, Rudné and Vysoká Pec. On one side of the valley, the path will take you to Přebuz, and if you head in the opposite direction, you won't miss Nové Hamry.
