In the mountains, it's not sunny every day; it often rains or is foggy. Where to hide from the bad weather? Underground, of course! And experience something unforgettable.
Come with us 500 years back in time and see how the ancestors of our ancestors mined ore in the Ore Mountains, which we later renamed to the Krušné Mountains. The Johannes Adit tour must be reserved and paid for in advance at the Boží Dar Information Center I Infozentrum Gottesgab or online at www.stolajohannes.cz. Be aware, this attraction is physically demanding and not for everyone: children under 10 years old, obese people, or people with claustrophobia or fear of heights are not allowed. It’s better to thoroughly study all the details on the website.

Did we scare you enough? Let's get started then. First, a thorough preparation. Dress warmly; it’s 8 degrees Celsius underground all year round. Expect to get a bit dirty as well. Before entering, you will be given rubber boots (thicker socks are quite useful), a coat, and a helmet with a flashlight. Now, into the adit! Here, the guide will bombard you with a bunch of unknown technical terms that you'll quickly forget. We suggest remembering at least the term "krušení," which means breaking the rock with fire and water.
What you definitely won't forget is the feeling of admiration for the heroes who, with primitive tools, fought against the rock every shift and risked their lives. Unforgettable are also the views of the illuminated underground spaces created by medieval miners, but unlike us, they could never see them in the light of their primitive tallow lamps. You will also see ore veins, which were the reason for all this activity.

In short, you will find yourself in a completely different world than our present one. But we won't reveal more; you have to experience it yourself.
