From Přísečnice to Jelení hora

12,6 km

Today's trip chosen by Petr and Petr to Jelení hora starts from the former village of Přísečnice. The typical mining town was known for mining iron and silver ore and vanished due to the construction of the reservoir of the same name in the 1970s.

The 12.6 km route begins at the Přísečnice dam, continues along the red trail past the Na loučkách Natural Monument, and finally takes the yellow trail up to the 994 m high Jelení hora. From the summit of the nephelinite hill, there is a beautiful view of Klínovec, Fichtelberg, Přísečnice reservoir, wind turbines on the Czech and German sides, and the houses of Kryštofovy Hamry. The 176 m ascent is not difficult; you can manage it even on a bicycle, although you will need to dismount for the last few meters... but the view is worth it!

And if you don't decide to spend the night at the summit (which is also worth it), a pleasant journey back awaits you on cycle path 23 in the agreeable climate of the reservoir.
