Educational trails around Kraslice

Set off crisscross through the city parks in the town of Kraslice around the ruins of Hausberg castle and plan your route according to your preferences, from a short loop of about 3 km to a diverse route of 9 km. All of this on the contours of a single hill where three marked paths meet: the Robber Trail, the Educational Trail In the Footsteps of Miners, and the long-distance Trail of Czechia. And if that's not enough for you, you can go through Tisovec and Olověný vrch up to Bublava.

The starting point, which is easy to find, is the roundabout by the Town Hall and the Corpus Cristi Church. If you need a bit of energy at the very beginning, don't miss the opportunity to order ice cream or, for example, a langoš at the stand near the crossing from the church to the office. Then a few steps await you, followed by the first information board about the Robber Trail, whose origin is associated with the legend of local robbers. They lived in the local forests near Hausberg castle and ambushed merchants. The castle was captured and burned down by the royal army in 1412.

The route is suitable for walkers, cyclists, and small children. It is divided into three sections, which are thematically focused and introduce visitors to the life of the robbers. The trail features interactive boards, play elements, pavilions, springs, and seating areas. Children and playful adults will especially enjoy it here. For adrenaline lovers, there is a publicly accessible via ferrata, offering not only the aforementioned hormone rush in the body but also breathtaking views. However, entry is at your own risk, i.e., without the supervision of a manager, and you need your own equipment.
