Jazz - Blues Saint Nicholas

The event is organized by the Cultural Facility Kadaň, p.o. in collaboration with Pure Music, z.s.

The traditional jazz-blues session will take place again at the Kadaň Orfeus. This time on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 7 PM.

Petra Börnerová Trio (CZ/SK)

folk, roots, blues

A project of Czech singer Petra Börnerová, Slovak musician Tomáš Bobrovniczký, and their son Tomáš, who plays percussion instruments. Their repertoire consists of both covers and original folk-blues songs. Unlike their orthodox blues past, they are now also inspired by folk, jazz, and rock influences. The result is a refined songwriting style based on jazz-blues at a top instrumental level.

Gwyn Ashton & Jitka Vejsadová (AUS/CZ)

blues, rock, roots

A great Australian slide guitarist, singer, drummer, and harmonica player all in one. He plays raw blues full of energy and dense guitar riffs in an authentic sound presentation with a resonator guitar and a special percussive instrument replacing the bass drum. In Kadaň, he will perform as a duo with the excellent violinist Jitka Vejsadová.

Steven's (CZ)

funk, blues, soul

A six-member band from western Bohemia, which blends elements of blues, rock, and is not afraid to delve into funk grooves. Their genre-diverse arrangements are built on solid rhythmic foundations, guitar riffs, and the overall sound color is completed by the voices of the vocalists.
