FOLK - ROCK MUSIC festival in the mountains
For the first time, three municipalities in the Ore Mountains are jointly organizing a music festival without borders
From August 2nd to 3rd, 2024, in Loučná pod Klínovcem, as part of the "Bridges between Neighbors" project, the first cross-border folk-rock music festival will take place. The town of Kurort Oberwiesenthal and the municipality of Sehmatal have joined forces with the town of Loučná pod Klínovcem as neighboring municipalities in a joint grant project. One of the activities of the partner towns is the joint organization of a Czech-German open-air music festival. The venue is near the border crossing just over the border bridge and lies in the valley between the two highest peaks of the Ore Mountains, Klínovec at 1,244 meters above sea level on the Czech side and Fichtelberg at 1,215 meters above sea level on the German side. The event starts on Friday, August 2nd at 4:30 PM. A total of thirteen Czech and German bands will provide musical diversity and good entertainment with folk-rock music until Saturday evening.
Furthermore, regional sellers will pamper you with Czech and German culinary specialties. There will also be a booth with a traveling exhibition for the 5th anniversary of the listing of the Ore Mountains as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Tickets can be purchased for one or both days at the venue or in advance. Admission for one day costs 150 CZK, for both days 250 CZK. Ticket presales started on July 1st, 2024, at tourist information centers in Loučná, Oberwiesenthal, and Sehmatal.
This event is supported by European funds from the Interreg Saxony - Czech Republic 2027 program.
