Most schools are heading to the Ore Mountains!
Approximately a month ago, the project Trail Across the Czech Republic for Schools was launched, which was prepared in collaboration with the Czech Tourist Club and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The project includes several stages designed so that primary and secondary schools, classes, but also various interest groups, clubs, associations, children's homes, etc. can set out on the trail. Selected routes are located in the Krkonoše, Orlické mountains, Jeseníky, Šumava, and the Krušné mountains.
In February, applications were opened and a preliminary evaluation took place at the end of February. Within three weeks, 75 classes or schools from all over the country applied. This means that 1500 students will set out to cross the mountains. A great piece of news is also that 26% of the applicants chose the Krušné mountains route!
Registration will close on March 31, so there is still time to register your school, class, or other group of children. The project also includes a competition for financial and material rewards from the project's partners. When planning, you can use all the materials prepared as part of the project, allowing you to set out with the children without worries.
If you want to learn more about the project, listen to the podcast (available on platforms YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast), which is dedicated to the project.
