The Ore Mountains are entering winter with new snow groomers.

The running trails in the Ore Mountains will be groomed with more modern technology in the upcoming winter seasons.

Thanks to the support of the Ústí Region and the Ministry for Regional Development, new snow groomers have been procured for the maintenance of the Krušnohorské Bílá Stop, which aim to contribute to a better service for cross-country skiers.

The grant for the purchase of the snow groomers was provided from the Revitalization of Tourism 2025 program. Each snow groomer received an allocation of 4.76 million crowns, which corresponds to 70% of the acquisition cost. Of this sum, 40% is covered by the Ústí Region and 30% by the state through the Ministry for Regional Development.

"I would like to highlight all the enthusiasts who take care of maintaining the cross-country trails in the Ore Mountains. They do it in their free time and for many years, and they deserve the absolute respect of everyone who uses the trails. With the new equipment, it will be possible to maintain the trails at the current level, which is great news," said Štěpán Javůrek, director of the Krušnohoří Destination Agency, during the ceremonial handover at Dlouhá Louka.

The beneficiaries of the support are the Krušnohorský Club and Krušnohorsko associations, which have long been responsible for the maintenance of the cross-country trails in the region. The newly procured snow groomers are equipped with GPS technology, which will allow tracking which sections of the trails are currently being groomed.

The acquisition of modern snow groomers has contributed to higher quality maintenance of the cross-country trails and will increase the attractiveness of the Ore Mountains for winter sports enthusiasts.
