New shelter near Řetízkárna at Rovnost

Tourists, cyclists, and other visitors to the Krušné hory can now make use of a simple overnight campsite near Řetízkárna in Jáchymov at Rovnost.

The campsite was established on the initiative of scouts from the Političtí vězni.cz Association, which is a partner of the Krušnohoří Destination Agency, and scouts from the 7th Blaník Centre, who contributed to its preparation.

Coordinates of the campsite: 50.3715175 N, 12.8945528 E

The site is intended for short-term stays for visitors heading to the Ore Mountains on foot, by bike, or by other means. In the near future, the campsite will also be available on Mapy.com and possibly other mapping services.

During events and other activities at Řetízkárna, the use of toilets and waste collection is also provided in the surrounding area.

Please be considerate

The campsite was created as a simple facility for mountain visitors. To ensure it can serve others well, we kindly ask you to follow a few basic rules:

• keep the site clean and take all your waste with you,
• be considerate of the surrounding nature and other visitors,
• do not light fires outside designated areas and respect current conditions,
• do not leave any personal equipment or other items at the site,
• respect the surroundings of Řetízkárna as a place connected to the history of the former labour camp.

The campsite is located in the area of the former Rovnost labour camp. We therefore ask visitors to perceive this place not only as a practical stop on their journey through the Ore Mountains but also with respect for its history.
